How to book a companion safely on ThueMi
A before, during and after safety guide - verified profiles, public places, SOS, and paying only the account shown in your booking.
Contents
Meeting someone new deserves a little preparation. ThueMi is for adults 18 and over only, both customers and companions, and every service is legal, non-sexual social companionship. A companion joins you as a friend.
What CCCD verification and the verified badge mean
Companions verify their identity with a valid CCCD (citizen ID): front, back and a portrait selfie, checked manually by ThueMi staff before the profile goes public. Profile photos must match the verified face.
The badge tells you the person is real, 18+ and identity-checked. It does not guarantee personality or that everything will go well. Verification never replaces your own judgement.
Before the meeting
- Read the profile: boundaries ("Được / Không được"), reviews, completion rate, and the public cancellation and no-show counts.
- Pick a public, busy place and write the exact venue in the booking. Private homes, hotel rooms, motels, closed karaoke rooms and deserted places are not allowed, except an organised event written in the booking, such as a family meal with relatives present. Browse coffee and film companions in TP.HCM, in Hà Nội, or outings in Đà Nẵng and Đà Lạt.
- Agree everything in ThueMi chat. It is your evidence if there is a dispute. Phone numbers and social handles are masked automatically.
- Add up to 3 emergency contacts, tell someone where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
Not finding the right person? Post a request and let companions send quotes.
During the meeting
- Check in together (window opens 30 minutes before and closes 60 minutes after the start).
- Share your live location: ThueMi creates a link you send to family yourself. It expires 6 hours after creation or 1 hour after the booking ends, whichever is later, and you can turn it off any time.
- "Mình ổn" (I'm OK) prompts appear every 45 minutes. For in-person bookings, after 60 minutes without a reply the safety team is alerted.
- Keep your drink in sight; no second venue unless agreed in chat.
What SOS does and does not do
SOS, inside an ongoing booking, sends your location and booking details to ThueMi's safety team, who then contact you or your emergency contacts. It does not call the police or message your family for you. In danger, call 113 (police) or 115 (ambulance) and leave. Either side may end early and leave if they feel unsafe.
Paying correctly
ThueMi never holds booking money, and customers pay ThueMi no fee. You pay the companion directly:
- Bank transfer in advance, only to the account shown under "Thông tin chuyển khoản" in the booking, with the holder's name matching the companion.
- Pay at the meeting, then mark it as paid.
Never pay to account numbers or QR codes sent in chat. ThueMi staff never ask you to transfer booking money. Keep screenshots of every transaction. Prices are set by each companion; see reference prices on ThueMi and the payment and cancellation policy.
Scam warning signs
- "ThueMi staff" asking for money, OTPs or passwords.
- A "new" account or QR code that differs from the booking.
- Demands for extra money, or pressure to move off ThueMi or to a private place.
After the meeting
Confirm completion and leave an honest review within 14 days. Open a dispute within 24 hours (in person) or 2 hours (online). Report profiles, messages or bookings with screenshots, and block if needed; blocking works both ways. Read our code of conduct guide and the official community rules, then start with coffee and film companions or meeting friends.
Frequently asked questions
Does the verified badge mean the person is completely trustworthy?
Not entirely. It means ThueMi staff checked their identity and age against a CCCD, but you should still read boundaries, reviews and completion rate and use your own judgement.
Does ThueMi call the police when I press SOS?
No. SOS alerts ThueMi's safety team with your location and booking details so they can contact you or your emergency contacts. In danger, call 113 or 115 yourself.
The companion sent a new account number in chat. Should I pay it?
No. Only pay the account shown under "Thông tin chuyển khoản" in the booking, in the companion's name, and report the message.
Can we meet at a private home or hotel?
No. Meetings must be in public, busy places. The only exception is an organised event written in the booking, such as a family meal with relatives present.
How long do I have to open a dispute?
You have 24 hours after completion for in-person bookings and 2 hours for online ones. Keep screenshots of chats and payments as evidence.
