1. The spirit of ThueMi

ThueMi is built on three principles: safety first, respect for boundaries and transparency. These guidelines apply to all users (Customers and Companions) across the whole Platform: profiles, Packages, Looking-to-hire posts, Available-for-hire posts, Offers, chat, in-person meetings and reviews. They form part of the Terms of Use.

Every service on ThueMi is lawful, non-sexual social companionship.

2. Do

  • Use real, recent photos of yourself; describe yourself honestly.
  • Be clear about your needs, plans, number of attendees, extra costs and who pays before booking.
  • Read and respect the "OK / Not OK" boundaries on the Companion's profile.
  • Keep all communication and payment inside the app until the Booking is completed.
  • Be on time; check in and check out as instructed.
  • Be polite and respectful, including when saying no.
  • Report anything that feels wrong straight away.

3. Absolutely prohibited

The following lead to a permanent ban, blocking of the device, phone number and ID document, and referral to the authorities where there are signs of a crime:

  1. Prostitution, buying or selling sex, soliciting or exchanging sex in any form, including hints such as "extra services", "overnight" or "private room". Vietnamese law (including the Ordinance on Prostitution Prevention and Control and the Criminal Code) strictly prohibits these acts.
  2. Anyone under 18 taking part in any role, or bringing a minor to a meeting for any inappropriate purpose.
  3. Pornographic content, nudity or explicit images, including in private chat.
  4. Human trafficking, coercion, confinement, forcing someone to accompany you, extortion, threats.
  5. Violence or threats of violence; carrying weapons.
  6. Illegal drugs: using, selling, offering, pressuring anyone, or spiking drinks.
  7. Scams: posing as ThueMi staff, sending fake payment links, asking for OTP codes, taking money.

4. Other violations

The following are handled under the ladder in section 9 (reminder, restriction, suspension or permanent ban depending on severity):

  • Off-platform dealings: exchanging phone numbers, social media handles or bank account numbers, or asking for private transfers before the Booking is completed.
  • Private venues: asking for or agreeing to meet at a private home, hotel or motel room, closed karaoke room or deserted place. Exception: an organised event stated in the Booking (e.g. a family meal when meeting the family, a wedding party at home with relatives present).
  • Harassment: message flooding, comments about someone's body, unwanted touching, stalking, continuing contact after being turned down or blocked.
  • Crossing boundaries: asking for something marked "Not OK"; pressuring a Companion who does not drink to drink; extending a meeting or changing venue without agreement.
  • Fake profiles: photos that are not you, impersonation, lying about age, editing photos so much that you are unrecognisable.
  • Recording or photographing without consent, or posting other people's images on social media without permission.
  • Discrimination or insults based on gender, region, ethnicity, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
  • Repeated cancellations or no-shows.
  • Fake reviews, reviews traded for money or perks, ranking manipulation.
  • Spam: duplicate posts, mass irrelevant Offers.

5. Boundaries

  • Each Companion publishes their boundaries on their profile (e.g. holding hands, drinking alcohol, staying out after 10 p.m., photos posted on social media). Boundaries are part of the Booking.
  • A Companion may refuse any request, even one within the Package scope, if they are uncomfortable.
  • A Companion may end the meeting and leave at any time if they feel unsafe. With a valid report, the Companion is not penalised for leaving.
  • Meet-the-family scripts and dress codes are binding only when written into the Booking and agreed by both sides.
  • Overnight trips (when available): separate rooms are mandatory and both sides must be identity-verified.

6. Meeting safely

Before the meeting:

  • Agree the plan in the in-app chat; chat history serves as evidence in disputes.
  • Choose a busy, public place that is easy to leave. The app warns you when a location looks like a private home or hotel.
  • Add up to 3 emergency contacts in the Safety section.
  • Arrange your own transport there and back; do not let someone you have just met pick you up from home.

During the meeting:

  • Check in when you meet to start the Booking.
  • Turn on location sharing with your emergency contacts if you wish. They view it through a link that expires automatically after 6 hours or 1 hour after the Booking ends (whichever is later), and you can stop sharing at any time.
  • The app checks in with you periodically ("I'm OK"). If an in-person meeting goes more than 60 minutes without a response, the safety team is alerted to follow up.
  • Keep your drink in sight, drink in moderation, and do not move to a second venue unless agreed.
  • Do not hand over cash or make private transfers.

After the meeting:

  • Check out, confirm completion and leave an honest review. You can also send a private safety review that only ThueMi can see.

7. SOS and emergencies

  • The SOS button is available in an ongoing Booking and in the Safety section. When pressed, the app sends your location (if you allow it) and the Booking details to ThueMi's safety team and alerts your emergency contacts.
  • SOS is registered only when you see the "Sent" confirmation. If the connection fails, the app shows quick-call buttons.
  • In danger, call 113 (Police) or 115 (Ambulance) immediately and leave the place. ThueMi does not replace emergency services or the police.
  • ThueMi hotline: 0969 866 669.

8. Reporting and blocking

8.1 Reporting

You can report a profile, message, conversation, Looking-to-hire post, Offer, review or Booking, with evidence (screenshots, messages). We prioritise by severity:

The reporter's identity is not disclosed to the reported user. Deliberately false reports are a violation.

Automatic suspension: when two or more independent users file high-priority reports against the same account within 30 days, that account is suspended immediately while a moderator reviews the case. A suspended account can still use SOS and file reports.

8.2 Blocking

Blocking works both ways: neither side can message, book, or send Offers to the other, and neither sees the other's profile or posts. You can unblock in Settings.

9. Enforcement ladder

We may skip earlier steps when the severity requires. You are told the decision and its main reason (unless doing so would endanger others or hinder an investigation), and you may appeal once via to be updated within 7 days.

10. Contact the safety team

  • In the app: Safety → Report or SOS.
  • Hotline: 0969 866 669
  • Email: to be updated
